Yes. Our charities and other organizations who are featured on the top and left of this page specialize in picking up junk cars, boats, rv’s, 4-wheelers, trucks and more. Even if your vehicle hasn’t been on the road in years, we will be happy to pick it up for you in a jiffy and give you a tax-deductible receipt.
How do you determine the value of my junk vehicle donation for purposes of a car donation tax deduction receipt?
Federal law now specifies that the actual value of the car when it is sold at auction or to a junkyard be the value used for tax purpose. “Blue Book” values are not now permitted unless the vehicle will be used by the charities. The nice thing is that some of the charities listed to the left on this page are capable of repairing and using or selling the car to a needy family hence allowing them to get you the blue-book donation tax deduction amount.
The IRS permits you to claim a tax write-off of:
a) the value of your vehicle up to $500
b) the amount we auction your vehicle off for if we auction it off – if it is more than $500. Then after you donate your junk car, one of our charity partners or organizations will issue you a receipt based on this law.
