A prime example comes out of Winnipeg Canada where a scrap yard and recycling facility started to donate the proceeds from every car it recycled to the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Their goal was to make enough money in a year so a new home could be built for a local family that desperately needed a home. People were encouraged to bring in their old cars or anything rusting away on the back of their property. This way Habitat benefited and so did the people in the local area. Supporters say that the area has become less cluttered with old cars because people see the need to help.
